I LOVE snacks. Crunchy, salty, sweet, soft, gooey, you name it, I love them all, but it can be hard to find healthier food and snack options, so why not create your own. I love these nuts because you can change them up every time you make them, so you don’t get bored. Switch up which nuts you use, or the flavor of olive oil or the seasoning, the options really are numerous. I hope you give this recipe a try and experiment with finding your favorite version.
Ingredients:
4 cups raw nuts (about 16 oz)
2 TBSP Olive Vault olive oil of choice
2 tsp Salt Sister’s seasoning of choice
**¼ tsp cayenne pepper if you want extra spicy
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300˚ F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean up. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and toss to coat. Use a rubber spatula for easier mixing. Spread the nuts out onto the lined baking sheet and back for approx. 25 minutes or until fragrant. I recommend stirring the nuts around every 10 minutes during baking. Remove from oven and taste to make sure they have enough salt, if not, add ¼ tsp at a time till desired saltiness is reached. Leave nuts on the baking sheet to cook & crisp up. Store at room temp in an airtight container for up to a week.
